City Administration provides support and direction for the delivery of exceptional customer service to City of Travelers Rest citizens, visitors, City Council, and city employees.

The Administrator provides assistance and guidance to the Mayor and City Council and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the City Government by directly or indirectly supervising all city employees and departments. He provides financial advice and prepares the annual budget for review and approval by City Council and assures the effective delivery of city services within the approved budget.

The City Clerk records and maintains official actions of the council, prepares minutes of council meetings, organizes, and distributes agendas and supporting documentation for council meetings, and provides administrative support to the council.

The City Clerk also coordinates, on behalf of the city council, the applications, appointments, and expirations of board and commission members, and serves as staff liaison to support each of the boards and commissions.

In addition, the City Clerk is responsible for retrieving, storing, and preserving city council records.  The Clerk also serves as a staff liaison to the Municipal Election Commission.

The License & Permitting Specialist assists with residential and commercial permit processing, inspection scheduling, business licenses, hospitality & accommodation taxes, minor accounting, and more.

The events and communications director is responsible for marketing, communications, the city’s digital content, and events within the city.
