About Trailblazer Park

Located in Travelers Rest, SC near the Blue Ridge Mountains and Furman University, Trailblazer Park features panoramic mountain views, a covered pavilion that hosts the Travelers Rest Farmers Market, festival grounds, and an open-air amphitheater. Cyclists and pedestrians can access Trailblazer Park via a spur trail connection to the GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail, a multi-use greenway system that runs along the Reedy River connecting the old railway system between Greenville and Travelers Rest.

Amphitheater
A beautiful concert venue, the Amphitheater at Trailblazer Park offers everyone an opportunity to enjoy FREE, live music and entertainment outdoors during the pleasant, South Carolina spring, summer and fall seasons. Visit the events page for a listing of performances and plan to join us Saturday evenings to enjoy superb music performed live by the best local and touring bands in the country.

Amphitheater Seating
Plan on bringing your lawn chairs or a blanket! The Amphitheater has grassy areas for seating on the terraces facing center stage and the surrounding area to accommodate up to 1,500 visitors.

Food Trucks & Beverages
During our Music in the Park Concert Series Trailblazer Park will host local food vendors and trucks serving a variety of fine foods and beverages. There will also be a craft beer and wine stand located in the park for your convenience.

Park Rules

  • Parking is restricted to designated parking areas only
  • No loud music, disorderly behavior, or disrupting others
  • Please dispose of trash and recycling in designated containers
  • Smoking and vaping are prohibited
  • No solicitation; Paid instruction and events are prohibited without a permit
  • Alcohol, glass bottles, fireworks, and unpermitted firearms are prohibited unless permitted by special event permit
  • Amphitheater Stage: The use of the amphitheater stage is restricted to City approved events and performance

Photograph and Video Policy
Representatives of the City of Travelers Rest may photograph or videotape registrants, participants, and spectators in our programs, special events, or facilities. Such photographs are for City use only and may be used in publications, brochures, pamphlets, flyers, websites, or video productions.

Dogs Policy

  • Owner/handler is responsible for keeping their dog under control by a leash no more than 6 feet in length, and for all action and behavior of the dog while on park property
  • Owner/handler is responsible and must possess the tools required for clean-up and disposal of dog waste
  • Dog Restricted Events/Areas: Due to health and safety concerns as well as programmed use of park property, dogs are not permitted at events, amphitheater area, playground area, and athletic fields
  • Service Animals: Service dogs are exempt from the limitations while performing their duties
