Foothills Family Resources doesn’t just meet people in their crisis, they work to move them to self-sufficiency through the Center for Working Families. They have been serving Northern Greenville County for over 36 years, and offer a food pantry (open every day during business hours), SNAP intake/processing, GED preparation, Mental Health counseling, rent/utility assistance, Vocational Rehabilitation, Medicaid Application Assistance, and a Career Development Program through their Center for Working Families.
New Horizon Family Health Services’ (NHFHS) Travelers Rest office is located at 1588 Geer Hwy. Services include primary medical and behavioral health care and pharmacy and laboratory services. NHFHS accepts private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and offers a sliding fee discount for those without insurance who qualify. The South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (DAODAS) is the South Carolina government agency charged with ensuring quality services to prevent or reduce the negative consequences of substance use and addictions. The mission of DAODAS is to ensure the availability and quality of a continuum of substance use services, thereby improving the health status, safety, and quality of life of individuals, families, and communities across South Carolina.
