5.04.340   Housing code adopted.

The Standard Housing Code, as published by the Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., being particularly the 1994 edition thereof and the whole thereof, save and except such portions as may herein be amended, modified or deleted, of which not less than three copies have been and are now filed in the office of the fire chief of the city, is adopted and incorporated as fully as if set forth at length herein, and the provisions thereof shall establish the minimum standards for the use, maintenance and occupancy of all dwellings and dwelling units within the city. In the event of any conflict between the provisions of the housing code and this code, state law or ordinances, rules or regulations, the provisions of this code, state law or ordinances, rules or regulations shall prevail and be controlling.
