Events and Public Art Projects
The City of Travelers Rest launched its Cultural Arts Initiative project in 2019 bringing activities, events, and temporary art installations to Downtown. The year-round program includes visual and performing arts and installations with local artists at its center. Contemporary and traditional art forms are represented giving visitors an experience that reflects the cultural history of the region as well as the art community today.
We welcome you to Travelers Rest and invite you to visit our wonderful city, explore our programs, and learn more by clicking through below.

If you’re on the Swamp Rabbit Trail in Travelers Rest between March 25 and April 6 keep a sharp lookout. Along the trail between the town’s gazebo area and Church Street you'll find a series of old wooden boxes created by local artists. Each one, nearly hidden by leaves & sticks, will contain an artistic interpretation of Spring - the revival and awakening of the life and nature.
