Certificate of Occupancy/Completion

Inspections

A Certificate of Occupancy will be issued when final inspections are requested for new construction and approved by the building official and fire chief.

Existing structures involving renovations or remodeling may require building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical permits. Inspections by the building official and fire chief will be done as needed during the time of construction. Any code violations must be corrected prior to the final inspection in order to receive a Certificate of Competition. A Certificate of Occupancy/Competition must be issued before a facility can be occupied.
