August 8 and 11: Spirit of '45 Celebration
Starting at 2:00pm
The 3rd Annual Spirit of '45 Celebration in Travelers Rest will take place at Reedy River Church (871 N. Highway. 25 Bypass) on Sunday, August 11, 2013, at 3:00 PM. Exhibits begin at 2:00 PM with World War II vehicles, weapons and memorabilia.
The purpose of Spirit of '45 is threefold:
Honor living Veterans of World War II and remember deceased World War II Veterans as we celebrate the END of that war in August of 1945.
Celebrate the many accomplishments of our Greatest Generation.
Learn how many ordinary citizens contributed to the efforts to win World War II.
On Thursday, August 8, 10:00 am-12 noon: Ordinary citizens who remember the end of World War II, as well as World War II veterans, will be recorded on DVD in live interviews. Reservations are not needed. Just come to Reedy River Baptist Church, 781 N. Hwy. Bypass, Travelers Rest, S.C.
Spirit of '45 is non-partisan and non-sectarian.
