The City of Travelers Rest Police Department is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of police officer.  Applicants must have a high school diploma, valid SC driver’s license, and US citizenship and be able to pass a criminal background check. Excellent communication skills required.  Certified Law Enforcement officer is preferred. Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

We’re moving!

As construction nears completion, the Travelers Rest City Hall and the Police Station are scheduled to move to a brand new 14,700 square-foot facility that is located at 125 Trailblazer Drive on Friday, October 26th, 2018. Our new building will house city administrative offices, the police department, 911 police dispatch, municipal court, and a visitor’s center area. City Hall, municipal court and police records will be closed from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on October 26th while we are moving.

City of Travelers Rest offers grants

The City of Travelers Rest offers grants to support local events and non-profits. The deadline for applications is March 31st for the following year’s funding (beginning July 1). Organizations must reapply for funding each year on or before March 31st for the next fiscal year.
